VUNABOSCO

Rabaul - or more precisely Vunapope, East New Britain. Don Bosco Agro-Technical school is a tribute to the work of the Salesians in this island Province of PNG. Vunabosco has also been a fertile ground for vocations - the majority of young seminarians now in Boroke at the aspirantate come from Vunabosco. Vunabosco is a Lower Secondary Technical school with courses in Electrical Technology, Maintenance Fitting and Machining, Automotive, Cabinet making and Joinery for boys left out of the PNG education system. For these boys Vunabosco remains the only hope of a good education. The school has been officially recognised as a permitted school by the Department of Education.
Vunapope, where the school is located is also the heart of the MSC mission in East New Britain. Vocations come not only to the Salesians but also to MSCs, Franciscans, Passionists.
